MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Location: Creston, IA
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will develop, install, and maintain cost effective methods of manufacturing operating standards by performing the following essential job functions:
  • Participate at initiation phase of new product lines to assist in design.
  • Establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards of labor utilization.
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
  • Develop and design workplace layouts using motion economy principles, sound ergonomic studies, and proper material handling practices.
  • Organize, layout, and prepare the charts, graphs, or diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts or machine utilization.
  • Monitor and document methods changes reducing cost of production and strive for budgeted goals.
  • Perform troubleshooting of complex circuit boards.
Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. 6 Months of experience as a manufacturing/mechanical engineer/engineering intern in the manufacturing industry. Strong proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies in the manufacturing context, ISO9001, and AutoCAD.
